Frangipani

Frangipanis are the quintessential, tropical garden element. Plant them from a view from the interior of your house, near a front verandah, or next to the front driveway, where you can smell the perfume of their many varied flowers.

Many tropical climate based countries associate meaning with the flowers and the leaves of the frangipani tree. Sri lankans call the flowers 'temple flowers' as they represent immortality. The trees are often planted nears temples so the fresh flowers can fall onto tombs.

Cuttings can be re-planted. The root ball is quite small, so the cutting can grow well next to a retaining wall or fence. Spend your lazy, warm summers days laying under the breezy boughs of the frangipani tree.
